On July 15, 2019, a solar electric vehicle built by a local company, Advance Dynamics Limited, successfully completed a historic 2000km journey across different parts of the country starting from Teknaf to Tetulia, according to a press release. The tour was conducted by the Tanguar Racing team which is a project of Advanced Dynamics Limited (ADL). The solar electric vehicle is the first of its kind on the roads of Bangladesh.

During this 21-day tour, the team stopped over at different places and finally drove through 22 cities, showcasing the technology at eight different educational institutions and spreading awareness on clean transportation, pollution mitigation, climate action and environmental conservation.

The solar electric vehicle uses a vintage SUV vehicle as its base but instead of any petrol, diesel or CNG, it only runs on electricity. The EV is powered by a 30Kw electric motor, a 36Kwh lead-acid battery pack, and also has 350W solar body parts and a 2.2Kw built-in intelligent charger. The vehicle achieved speeds of 60km/h and a single charge range of 180km including solar recovery. This vehicle is a not-for-sale trial prototype model and will continue to be developed and improved over time, the release read.

Piloted by the team’s founders, Mohammad Tauseef Anwar and Gopal Kumar Mohoto, the vehicle consumed 502.90Kwh of grid electricity, and generated 31.62Kwh of solar energy during the entire trip. The net consumption came to 471.28Kwh for 2100km. Advanced Dynamics Limited will conduct similar endurance tests in the future to develop and manufacture emission free vehicles in the country.

The Tanguar Racing team will take on more challenges next year as Team Bangladesh in the 80 Day Race, competing with global teams from US, UK, and France, among others, to become the first competitive team from Bangladesh to circle the globe on a zero-fossil fuel vehicle.

The batteries used in this tour were provided by Rahimafrooz Batteries Ltd. The other partners of the team during the tour include Pedrollonk Ltd, Hungrynaki.com, Bohu Bangladesh, Moar, Dreamers & Doers, Fab Lab Dhaka and Cone Technologies. This first 3D-printed electric motorcycle is called Nera. From the frame and the fork to the rims and even the airless tires, almost all of this motorcycle’s components have been 3D printed with machines produced by BigRep. Its sleek lines are the work of designers Marco Mattia Cristofori and Maximilian Sedlak.

This smart motorcycle helmet has a wide-angle camera at the back and a built-in head-up display so the rider can see what’s going on behind them without any blind spots.

With this 360-degree view, the rider no longer has to turn around or make large head movements to maneuver. They can, instead, stay concentrated on the road ahead while keeping a careful eye on what’s going on behind them.

The CrossHelmet X1 also has a noise control system, via the accompanying mobile app, to reduce noise from the surrounding environment (engine, wind, etc.). Finally, it can connect to smartphones over Bluetooth, allowing riders to use voice commands via Google Assistant or Siri, whether for making calls, managing navigation or listening to music.

The helmet also features safety LEDs on either side to improve visibility at night.

Zuckerberg plans to share his progress over the course of the year. Last month, he made headlines for plans to donate 99% of his stake in Facebook. He had to defend his philanthropic venture -launched to celebrate the birth of his daughter- after critics argued that it could provide a way for the founder to avoid paying tax on the sale of his shares.

‘CONTROL EVERYTHING’

On Monday, Zuckerberg said he would start to build the AI with technology that is already out there and teach it to understand his voice to control everything in his home from music and lights to temperature. “This should be a fun intellectual challenge to code this for myself,” Zuckerberg said.

“I’ll teach it to let friends in by looking at their faces when they ring the doorbell,” he said. “I’ll teach it to let me know if anything is going on in Max’s (his daughter’s) room that I need to check on when I’m not with her.”

For Facebook, he added that the system would help him visualize data in virtual reality and help him build better services, as well as lead his company. His announcement comes as Facebook is in the midst of AI initiatives such as building an assistant through its Messenger app for users.

The tech billionaire said a part of the motivation behind this year’s challenge was the reward of building things yourself. His previous personal challenges have included learning Mandarin, reading two books a month and meeting a new person everyday, he said. Source : BBC Online

১। বাংলাদেশ বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে জনবহুল দেশ। এখানে প্রতি বর্গকিলোমিটারে জনসংখ্যার যে ঘনত্ব। তাতে ই-কমার্সের সবচেয়ে উপযোগী ক্ষেত্রে। কারণ প্রতিটি অপারেটিং এরিয়া বা জোনে যে পরিমাণ অর্ডার আসার সম্ভবনা আছে তাতে লাভ তোলার কাজটা সহজ হয়ে যাওয়ার কথা কারণ অপারেশন এবং ডেলিভারী খরচ কমে যায়।

শুধু সুবিধা আর সম্ভাবনাই কোনো ব্যাপারে সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়ার চূড়ান্ত কথা নয়। আসল কথা হলো, সুবিধা ও অসুবিধা এই দুয়ের বিশ্লেষণ। এবার আমরা অসুবিধা নিয়ে আলোচনা করব?

১। যদি সঠিকভাবে ই-কমার্স করতে হয়ে। তাহলে বিশাল একটা বিনিয়োগ চলে যায় অনলাইন প্লাটফর্ম দাড় করাতে। এছাড়া ব্যবসাকে লাভজনক করতে সময় নিয়ে অপেক্ষা করতে হয়।

২। দেশে অবকাঠামোগত উন্নয়ন হলেও সাপ্লাই চেইন ও বাজার ব্যবস্থা বেশ অগোছালো। শক্তিশালী শিপিং লাইন বা ডেলিভারী চেইনও গড়ে উঠেনি। ফলে প্রোডাক্টস সোর্সিং এবং হোম ডেলিভারী দু’খাতেই সমস্যা রয়েছে।

৩। দেশের শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থা প্রযুক্তি ও ব্যবসায় বান্ধব এমনকি কর্মমূখী না হওয়ার কারণে ই-কমার্স পরিচালনার জন্য দক্ষ লোকের অভাব রয়েছে।

৪। পর্দার আড়ালে ক্রেতা ও ভোক্তা থাকেন বিধায়। এখানে প্রতারণার সুযোগ তৈরী হয়। যদিও সেটা খুব সাময়িক। কিন্তু বাংলাদেশের প্রেক্ষাপটে এধরনের প্রতারণা চললে ব্যবসা খাত হিসেবে ই-কমার্সের জন্য চ্যালেঞ্জ থেকেই যায়।

৫। ই-কমার্স একটি মাল্টিফাংশনাল বিজনেস। এখানে পন্য সংগ্রহ, ডেলিভারী, প্যাকেজিং, ওয়েবসাইট পরিচালনা, সামাজিক যোগাগোগ মাধ্যম ব্যবস্থাপনা, ডিজিটাল মার্কেটিং প্রভূত বিষয়ে জ্ঞান থাকা দরকার। মাল্টি ট্যালেন্টেড টিম দিয়ে পরিচালনার প্রয়োজন হয়।
